When it comes to receiving physical healing from the Lord, it is imperative how you see yourself, not from the natural standpoint- I’m talking about the inward vision of yourself. The Lord created us in His likeness and image (Genesis 1:27) and gave us the ability to dream, think, and create from within. For example, every building (small and big) that exists started with first a blueprint before it took on physical materials. The blueprint is the vision on paper of something that started in the mind of the builder.

Healing never starts outwardly but from within. The word of God is the only thing that will create a clear picture of God’s will to heal the sick, no matter what the infirmity may be. Faith begins where the will of God is known. The more scripture you have regarding healing and divine health, the clearer the picture will be within.

Mark 5:25-34 King James Version
25 And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years,
26  And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse,
27  When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment.
28  For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole.
29  And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague.
30  And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes?
31  And his disciples said unto him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?
32  And he looked round about to see her that had done this thing.
33  But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth.
34  And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.

Here is a very clear example of someone that was in a very serious situation physically and had spent everything she had on doctors, hoping that they would have a cure but only left her broken, disappointed, and without hope. Someone told her about Jesus and how he was healing people, which in turn, created a picture within her that if she could just touch the hem of Jesus’ garment she could be healed. She kept saying within herself over and over again, “If I can just touch the hem of Jesus’ garment I will be healed.” In other words, she built an inward vision of seeing herself well and healed and then took the necessary action to get to Jesus. The rest is history, and now we read about her story in the Bible. The principle remains the same today.

If you need healing in your body, find and meditate on Bible verses that tell of someone receiving their healing. In other words, as you travel to work, go about your day, cook dinner—even as you begin to go to sleep at night, imagine that person’s story. Picture the passage in your mind, reliving in your thoughts the experiences that person went through according to the Word. This will paint a picture of God, the Healer, at work.

In the realm of music, musicians will hear within them first the harmonies, notes, etc., in order to create beautiful songs that bless humanity. The great inventors of the century, like Henry Ford, had a vision of every American having a car in their driveway. Wilbur and Orville Wright had a vision of man flying and worked through much opposition to create the first airplane. Their vision impacted the entire world to this very hour. People like Thomas Edison, Alexander Graham Bell, and many others, made tremendous contributions to society because they had the ability to think and imagine.

Now, imagine yourself well, healed and doing something that you couldn’t do previously. Take these few scriptures and meditate upon them and change the inner image and receive from the Lord. You will be amazed when you allow these powerful pictures from God’s word to take form in your heart and mind. For best results, speak these out loud over and over again.

Psalm 103:1-3 King James Version
1  Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.
2  Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:
3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;

Proverbs 4:20-22 King James Version
20  My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.
21  Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.
22  For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.

Isaiah 53:4-5 King James Version
4  Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
5  But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

1 Peter 2:24 King James Version
24  Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

3 John 2 King James Version
2 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.
